NEW INSTALLATIONS

New Installations - iRISE Elevators

WHY CHOOSE IRISE FOR YOUR ELEVATOR INSTALLATION?

At iRISE Elevators, we install units that fit all budgets and job-specific requirements. Our higher-end elevators are custom-built to your liking, while our lower-end selection comes in standard industry packages. It is also important to understand the three major benefits for the owner which we have noted below.

Firstly, we install NON-PROPRIETARY elevator equipment. This means that you can select any service provider to perform maintenance after the installation of your elevator is complete. Unlike PROPRIETARY equipment, you and/or your preferred maintenance company will not require any ridiculously expensive proprietary tools to fix your elevator. This ensures the total independence of building owners and property managers to service their elevators as they see fit.

Secondly, the maintenance company of your choice will be supported with 3rd party NON-PROPRIETARY technical support. This ensures that any elevator company that you hire has all the manuals, documents, and answers to fix any problem on your elevators! It automatically reduces the time needed to troubleshoot your elevators which also reduces the costs of your billable services.

Finally, the NON-PROPRIETARY equipment of the elevator industry is much easier to access than the PROPRIETARY equipment. It comes readily available for any elevator company to order without barriers and/or unnecessary delays. This greatly reduces the lead times for parts when your elevator is shut down, giving the building owner and/or property manager the ultimate edge when it comes to supporting the serviceability of your elevators.

What are the different types of commercial elevators?

Hydraulic Elevator

HYDRAULIC ELEVATORS

Hydraulic elevators are powered by a piston that travels inside a cylinder. The motor pumps hydraulic oil into the cylinder to move the piston up, which smoothly lifts the elevator cab to your desired floor. Electrical valves then control the release of the oil for a gentle descent. These units were originally designed for lower-rise elevators with lower-speed applications.

TRACTION ELEVATORS

Traction elevators are powered by an AC or DC drive that lifts the cab by rolling steel ropes over a deeply grooved pulley. The weight of the cab is also balanced by a counterweight which decreases the strain on the motor when it rotates forward or backward to lift and lower the cab through the hoistway. A traditional Traction Elevator with a machine room is meant for bigger elevator machines. This type of unit is commonly used in higher-rise elevators with higher-speed applications.

MRL Elevator

MACHINE ROOM-LESS ELEVATORS

A machine room-less elevator (usually shortened to MRL) is defined as a traction or hydraulic elevator which does not require a machine room space for the elevator. The machine is mounted in the hoistway, and the controller is generally installed in the upper floor door jamb. These space savers are becoming more popular in modern-day installations and are commonly used in low to mid-rise applications with low to medium-speed elevators.
